SCREAM RACING OFFSHORE POWERBOAT EXPERIENCE

This is a unique opportunity for you to experience first hand the thrills and challenges of off-shore powerboat racing. This is not for the faint hearted. You will come away from this adventure with an adrenaline rush second to none and a host of after dinner tales that will be hard to supersede.

The aim of this experience is to provide you with a truly hands on insight into what it takes to control and manoeuvre these often volatile machines on water. You will have the opportunity to co-pilot Richard George who will personally ensure that you experience both the mental and physical thrills of the sport out in the perfect racing waters of Plymouth Sound – home to the Honda Formula Four Stroke Series for an hour.

Richard George and his co-pilot Nichola Sanders are entering the largest world offshore powerboat championships in 2008 – the Honda Formula Four Stroke World Championships. After a solid foundation year in 2007 – where the duo surpassed all expectations when led the entire fleet for almost 3 laps before engine failure robbed them of their first podium position. Richard also won the UKOBA Award for ‘Most Improved Helmsman’ and the Team won the accolade of ‘Best Prepared Boat’ 2007.

During actual races these machines reach up to 70 mph as competitors do battle in often volatile waters for invaluable championship points. With 20 boats lined up at the start line all equally fired up and determined to outrace one another at all costs the adrenaline is amazing. 2008 looks set to be an exciting and challenging year for Scream Racing and this is a unique opportunity for you to be a part of it.

For the successful bidder of this wonderful, probably once-in-a-lifetime experience:

·       Your trip will take place at Queen Anne’s Battery in Plymouth where Richard will meet you for a coffee and informal chat.

·        A short safety briefing will take place on the pontoons.

·        You will leave Queen Anne’s Battery and head out to the sound for your trip.

·       Return to the pontoons and discuss your trip over a coffee/beer.
