On Friday 3 October 2008 I was looking forward to a nice weekend, checking out some bands and visiting a bike club event. However, all that changed on the Friday evening whilst I was visiting friends in Plymouth to discuss ideas for my planned bike event next year. To cut a long story short, some youths stole my motorbike, a Jialing 125cc Sport from outside my friends house. I contacted the local police and the bike was found quite quickly but is so badly damaged that it is awaiting inspedtion by the insurance loss adjusters. I am now back on the road on a Honda CG125.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Devon & Cornwall Police for their quick response to my call and to all my firends and fellow bikers who have supported me over the last few days.
Below are some photographs of the damged bike. It had to be kept on a frame due to the front wheel having been twisted. and the front forks damaged.. You will see that the headlight, windshield, speedo and dials have been ripped from the bike.
And finally, in her former glory, at the John Wade Memorial Bike Meet, Sunday 20 July 2008
